DARELL UNVEILS GENRE-BUSTING ALBUM ‘DARELL 2024’

Darell makes a statement with an eponymous album that marks a change in his sound and contributions to the rise of the latin music scene.

Last year Darell proposed “EVERYBODY GO TO THE DISCOTEK” and this year he bets on himself again with a new project he says brings “un Darell totalmente diferente” (a completely different Darell).

The rapper and songwriter continues to prove his versatility as he fuses reggaeton with touches of Afrobeats, adds an array of percussion sounds and the bright brassy sound of trumpets, all while his raspy vocals continue to be the signature characteristic.

The album is composed of 15 tracks that showcase his artistic growth and establish his ability to elevate Latin music into new ventures. The star-studded lineup includes global superstars Maluma and Ozuna, and renowned producers The Rudeboyz, SOG, Maffio, and Lil Geniuz.

The standout track “Sexual Sensual” is a lively song that takes on a modern twist to salsa music and its music video, directed by 90th Shooter and produced by Y20 Films, embodies the dynamic sounds of this successful crossover highlighted with Darell’s energetic vibe.

The Puerto Rican phenomenon has brought a cross-cultural anthem to the table saying “estamos cruzando los mares” (we are crossing seas). He takes Clean Bandit, an English electronic music group, on a ride for the track “Lambo Sport.” He takes pride in showcasing and representing talented artists through his music and said he would collaborate a million times with the group.

With more than a decade-long career, Darell has consolidated himself as one of the most prominent figures of urban music and this new studio album proves him as a barrier-breaking artist that continues to stay at the top of the genre.
