Johnny Depp Rumored To Return As His Iconic Captain Jack Sparrow In A Historic $301M Deal
According to an insider scoop from Australian media outlet Poptopic, Disney is “very interested in patching up their relationship with Johnny Depp” and are preparing a historic $301 million deal as an apology and a joke. The highest paid role in cinematic history was Bruce Willis for a whopping $115 million in Sixth Sense.
When Disney released Johnny Depp from his iconic Pirates of the Caribbean role, following the controversy surrounding the Amber Heard trial, Depp said he wouldn’t work with Disney ever again “even for $300 million and one million alpacas.” Hopefully, this won’t end up being true as we would love to see Johnny Depp work with Disney again.
The deal is rumored to be for Johnny Depp to return as Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean 6 as well as a a spin-off series on “the early life of the Captain of The Black Pearl” to release on Disney+.
The insider also claims “[Disney] reached out to the actor prior to his defamation trial against Amber Heard and asked whether he would be interested in returning for another Pirates film or two.” Apparently corporate already sent him a “gift basket with a very heartfelt letter” however it’s unclear whether Depp received the package. The studio is very hopeful that Depp will accept their apology and sizable deal.
We’ll have to wait or more information as things develop, but let’s hope Johnny will forgive Disney and return as his iconic character.
Johnny is also slated to to play Gomez Addams in Tim Burton’s Addams Family.
