Exclusive: Brandy and Eve Face Off In Epic Swizz Beatz Produced Rap Battle On ABC Series ‘QUEENS’

It is the rap battle of the century when two musical goddesses take the stage and each other on! Swizz Beatz, the executive producer of the newest hit show “QUEENS”, introduces the battle featuring pop sensation, Brandy and the queen of rap, Eve! He welcomes the audience to the powerful world of women who rap by putting two champions in a one-on-one battle.

They face off when hits are played back-to-back, and they are commanded to freestyle according to the beat! It may seem Eve would be the clear winner, but Grammy-award winning singer, Brandy, holds her own against the lyrical titan!

Eve, slayed the room with a cream turtleneck top and black and white leggings that radiated electricity. Brandy was her opposite in a fierce black leather tank top and matching cargo pants while wearing her signature cascading braids. Both came with sass and energy that was noted by their audience Naturi Naughton and Nadine Velazquez. They winced at every punch line but stayed in the groove while the twosome battled.

The raspy voiced singer delivered line after line of blows to the rapper. At one point, Eve stops the beat and all that is heard is silence and the message she is delivering a capella. Her words clearly get to Brandy, as she is speaking nothing but truths. Her direct honesty prompted Brandy to stand still in her boots and listen quietly. Eve appears to be the clear winner, but one can be the judge of that when they themselves watch the newest episode of smash hit, “QUEENS”.

The women came together as the cast of “QUEENS” to provide music that will have the audience on their toes. Created by Zahir McGee, “QUEENS” is a story about a hip-hop girl group that once took the world by storm but were consumed with jealousy of one another. After reuniting years later, they rediscover the love they have for music and each other.
