Tell us about your passion for acting and how you got your start in the industry? My passion for acting stemmed from an exploration of the arts from a very young age; a curiosity for creativity that I still carry with me today has been a big part in my pursuit of acting. I first began acting professionally around the age of 16 working on Australian television; that quickly progressed to me moving to the United States at the age of 17 own my own to further my career goals. It was a bold move at such a young age. I’m sure I had no idea what was in store for me, but I still took that leap of faith and I’m glad I had the tenacity and an endless hunger for pushing myself back then. It paid off for sure.
You recently joined CW Network’s Gotham Knights as series regular, Brody March! Talk to us about this experience and what people can expect when tuning in. Yes! Joining Gotham Knights has been an absolute blast. I’ve always wanted to be a part of the DC universe and now I am. I think that’s pretty cool. We filmed the series across Toronto & Atlanta and prior to filming I’d never had a chance to experience those cities very much, so getting the opportunity to explore new places on top of filming such an amazing show was definitely the cherry on top. People can expect a fresh perspective on the dark and dangerous world of Gotham City; our show explores so many deep cuts of the DC comic book universe and also has some brand-new additions too. It’s gritty, exciting, and filled with action in the best of ways. I’m excited for the world to watch it.
What do you love most about working on Gotham Knights? The friendships that were built along the way. All in all, it took around nine or so months across an entire year to shoot this season, so the cast and I became very close and would hang out every day after work. We all became big parts of each other’s lives.
How did you prepare for your role in the series? Lots of research into the world of Gotham. I wanted to make sure I came to set with a full knowledge of Gotham lore to pull from when shooting the show. There aren’t many jobs out there that require you to read hundreds of comic books, but I’m so glad this one did haha.
This is an exciting time in your career- what’s next for you? What’s next is spending lots of time with my family and friends, do some writing, and develop a few passion projects that I have cooking up!
