Monét X Change Releases New Song “Body” Delving Deep into the Desire for Genuine Love and Intimacy
Renowned drag performer Monét X Change unveils her latest single, “Body,” marking a distinct shift in her musical style. The mid-tempo track, co-written with GRAMMY-nominated songwriter Eritza Laues and producer Cannon Mapp, explores the deep yearning for genuine love after years of settling for superficial connections.
“Body” serves as a musical snapshot of Monét’s evolving R&B sound, influenced by her Brooklyn roots and showcasing a personal and confident evolution. As the first queen of color inducted into the Hall Of Fame after winning All-Stars Season 4 of Rupaul’s Drag Race, Monét’s versatility extends beyond music to successful ventures in comedy, evident in her one-woman show “Life Be Lifein'” and the acclaimed podcast “Sibling Rivalry” co-hosted with Bob The Drag Queen.
In addition to the single, Monét X Change is set to star in “The Love Ball,” a high-energy drag revue alongside Shea Couleé. The revue pays heartfelt tribute to the art of drag, with scheduled stops in Chicago, Atlanta, and New York City. With a tour on the horizon and a flourishing comedy career, Monét’s 2024 promises to be a year dominated by music, solidifying her position as a multi-talented force in the entertainment scene.
