Rihanna Announces Return to Music With New ‘Black Panther’ Original Anthem
The wait is over.
The Queen herself, Rihanna, has emerged from her Fenty Empire to announce she is making her highly-anticipated return to the world of music with “Lift Me Up,” which will be the lead single for the all-new “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” soundtrack.
The track will be a tribute in honor of the late Chadwick Boseman. Written by Tems, Ludwig Göransson, Rihanna and Ryan Coogler, the single will release tomorrow, October 28th, 2022, on all platforms (including TIDAL). The Marvel sequel will premiere in theaters on November 11th and if you didn’t have a good enough reason to support the film, now you do.
Tems shared with Variety, “Rihanna has been an inspiration to me so hearing her convey this song is a great honor.” In a press release by Marvel, this title track will “usher in the next era of Rihanna’s iconic career.”
Rihanna shared an early listen as a snippet on her official Instagram account as a Reel. Have a listen below!
