Step Into the World of Lucky Starzzz: Drag Race’s New “Drag Toon”

What do you get when you mix bold creativity, cartoonish whimsy, and a splash of Havana flair? Meet Lucky Starzzz, the newest queen to bring her animated magic to RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 17!

Born in Havana, Cuba, Lucky describes her drag as “a living cartoon”—vibrant, expressive, and unapologetically playful. Inspired by her transgender aunt, a former drag queen whose performances in Miami shaped her earliest memories of drag, Lucky found her passion in combining theatrical storytelling with eye-popping visuals. After moving to Miami, she embraced her unique perspective, channeling her love of music, gaming, and fantasy worlds into every look and performance.

Lucky’s signature style blends camp and club kid culture with a colorful, DIY edge. Known for using everything from paper and spray paint to sequins and rhinestones, she brings each character to life with a level of detail that feels straight out of a cartoon strip. Her performances, which have lit up iconic Miami venues like Palace and Nathan’s Beach Club, are as imaginative as they are unforgettable.

From headlining events like the Pridelines “Queerferno” gala—performing for the likes of Lady Bunny and Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Cava—to showcasing her Poison Ivy-inspired mix of Britney Spears’ “Toxic” and Nelly Furtado’s “Maneater” at Wigwood 2023, Lucky continues to make waves as a fresh voice in the drag world.

This season, Lucky is ready to prove that her larger-than-life creativity and “drag toon” energy can wow the judges and snatch the crown. Get ready, world—this queen’s about to make a splash!
