Yandel Teamed Up with Florida International University’s Student Orchestra to Celebrate the Release of His New Album “ELYTE”

ELYTE” is Yandel’s eighth solo studio album, and it has already reached remarkable heights. In a historic first, the reggaeton artist collaborated with university music students at Florida International University’s School of Music in partnership with Warner Music Latina. This groundbreaking collaboration also introduced a new scholarship titled “ELYTE,” designed to support aspiring musicians at the school.
.
The event took place at the Herbert and Nicole Wertheim School of Music & Performing Arts on October 15th during Latin Music Week, drawing a crowd of music professionals and Florida International University students excited to experience an unforgettable night of music and community.
.
From throwback hits to a blend of his recent tracks from the album “ELYTE”, Yandel’s music resonates across generations. It was a unique sight to see him performing alongside a symphony, showcasing a beautiful union of cultures and musical styles.
.
As the night progressed, Yandel encouraged everyone to rise from their seats and join him in dancing, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration.
.
The symphonic renditions of hits such as “Permítame” and “El Teléfono” was a breathtaking experience. Even with his newer hits such as “Yandel 150” and “Puño de Tito,” he performed a range of his repertoire. Yandel not only sang and rapped but also danced, proving why he embodies the essence of “ELYTE” as an artist.
.
In Yandel’s new album, he is unafraid to collaborate with the new generation of reggaeton artists, such as Feid, Blessd, and Luar L. His willingness to support emerging talent highlights his commitment to the genre’s evolution. The album remains authentic to reggaeton, featuring beats and production that honor its roots, even including Tego Calderón, a legend in the genre who has long deserved recognition. With over twenty years in the industry, Yandel continues to demonstrate his creativity and relevance, captivating fans old and new.
