Erykah Badu Prepares For Mixtape Release

Erykah Badu is all set to release her brand new mixtape But You Caint Use My Phone on this Thanksgiving Day, November 26th. The legendary neo-soul artist has been making press stops throughout the past month, discussing this next chapter of her music career and her host role for the 29th Annual Soul Train Awards.

During her recent guest spot on of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Badu collaborated with The Roots to sing snippets of music from the mixtape as the late night talk show went in and out of commercial breaks. The singer will also stop by The Real this Wednesday to chat about these current career ventures. In addition, keep your eye out for Badu to appear on other talk shows and radio podcasts over the next month.

As for the Soul Train Awards, this will not be the first time that the R&B singer has graced the stage as the host. In 1998, Badu co-hosted the awards show with music legend Patti LaBelle and rapper Heavy D. The Soul Train Awards will air on November 29th at 8PM EST on BET and Centric.
