Nicky Jam’s Album ‘Infinity’ Reaches Billboard’s Top 10 Latin Albums
It is safe to say that making your way onto the Latin top albums chart is an exciting and rare accomplishment.
Nicky Jam, however, has blown past just one album making it to Top 10! Nicky Jam’s latest album, Infinity, debuted at number nine and is his third straight album to appear in the top ten.
The album, released through La Industria/Sony Music Latin on August 27th, reached across the globe and intrigued the world. After releasing the data on streams and other ways of listening, for the week ending September 2nd, documented 5,000 album units earned in the United States. The vast majority of the success Infinity received comes from listeners who streamed the album.
Five songs from the album were released before the album. The album, entitled Infinity, is aptly named. They all debuted high on the Hot Latin Songs Chart. All but one of the released songs were collaborative releases. “Polvo” featured Myke Towers that peaked at No. 15 in June 2020. “Fan De Tus Fotos” features Romeo Santos that peaked at No. 11 on February 27th. “Pikete” featured El Alfa that peaked at No. 32 on June 12th. “Magnum” is his first-ever collaborative piece with Jhay Cortez, which was No. 41 on the current chart. “Miami” the only one not to include some kind of collaboration, debuted at No. 33 and reached its peak on August 14th.
The Hot Latin Songs Chart mixes the results of airplay, streams, and digital sales in the determination of their chart placements. Infinity currently sits at No. 7 on the Latin Rhythm Albums chart. It is Nicky Jam’s sixth straight top 10 to grace this chart.
