Sueños Festival 2024: Meet the Rising Stars Hitting The Stage This Year
Chicago’s iconic Grant Park is ready for the highly anticipated third edition of Sueños Festival (translation: dreams) this weekend May 25th and May 26th. This two-day party is taking over Memorial Day weekend starting at noon both days. Headlining sets feature Peso Pluma, Maluma and Rauw Alejandro. Other notable names on the lineup include Young Miko, Bizzarap, Manuel Turizo and Mora.
Here are the rising stars to keep an eye on this weekend:
· Xavi, singer and songwriter of regional Mexican music, he rose to fame in 2023 with his hits “La Diabla” and “La Victima,” which went viral on TikTok and eventually led to his debut on Billboard Hot 100. (Set Time: Saturday, May 25th from 2:45pm-3:15pm *Subject to change*)
· Ivan Cornejo, singer and songwriter in the regional Mexican music genre. He embraces the traditional instruments and sounds of música mexicana but incorporates electric guitars and emo-like lyrics, giving fans a sad sierreño approach. (Set Time: Saturday, May 25th from 7:30pm-8:15pm *Subject to change*)
· Gabito Ballesteros, Mexican singer, songwriter and record producer who is part of the corridos tumbados movement. Known for his collaborations with Peso Pluma, Natanael Cano and Junior H on singles “AMG” and “Lady Gaga.” (Set Time: Sunday, May 26th from 2:35pm-3:05pm *Subject to change*)
· Delilah, Mexican American singer-songwriter, went viral online for her impressive voice. Earlier this year, she signed with Natanael Cano’s label “Los CT” and shortly after released her debut single “Amor Perdido.” (Set Time: Sunday, May 26th from 12:00pm-12:20pm *Subject to change*)
Sueños is much more than just music. The festival is a cultural celebration that brings Chicago’s diverse Latin community together through dance, art, food, and drinks.
