AIPAC-Owned Lindsey Graham Jokes About Drowning Greta Thunberg for Challenging Israel’s Blockade

South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, best known for selling out the American people one lobbyist check at a time, decided to “joke” about the possible drowning of Greta Thunberg and a boat full of humanitarian workers. After headlines reported that Thunberg had joined a Gaza-bound aid flotilla attempting to break Israel’s illegal naval blockade, Graham tweeted:

Let’s be clear: a sitting U.S. senator, who’s sworn to protect American lives, made a thinly veiled death wish about a group of mostly Western volunteers sailing to deliver food and medicine to Palestinians trapped under siege.

This isn’t just vile. It’s revealing.

Graham, who’s accepted over $1 million from pro-Israel interest groups (according to OpenSecrets), has spent years operating as little more than a mouthpiece for apartheid. He’s rubber-stamped weapons deals, cheered on Israeli bombings, and now he’s cracking jokes about drowning teenage climate activists. Why? Because they dared challenge his donors’ agenda.

And while he cosplays as “pro-life” for his conservative base, he seems pretty comfortable with the idea of a foreign military blowing up boats with Americans on board, as long as the military in question is Israeli and the victims are people with a conscience.

Let’s not forget: just weeks ago, a Gaza aid ship near Malta was attacked by drone fire, killing and injuring international volunteers. Thunberg had considered joining that very ship. Her presence on the current flotilla is no mere PR stunt, it’s a stand against genocide. Something Lindsey Graham, apparently, finds laughable.

This is what $1 million in AIPAC money buys: a man who treats threats of political violence like punchlines, backs foreign war crimes with your tax dollars, and mocks anyone trying to stop them.

If this enrages you, you can act. Report Graham’s tweet to the Senate Ethics Committee at ethics@senate.gov or (202) 224-2981, call his D.C. office at (202) 224-5972, and back challengers like @annieandrewsmd who aren’t bought by blood money.
