LaTavia Roberson Teaches Us The Art of Speaking Up For Yourself with New Docu-Series
It’s been a busy week for 2x GRAMMY Award-winner, LaTavia Roberson. She spoke with Billboard Magazine, Billboard Brasil and i-D Magazine about what to expect in the coming months from the 8x Billboard Award-winner.
In an exclusive reveal with Billboard, LaTavia announced that she will be producing a docu-series based on her life.
She says the series will be about her life “and being transparent about the times nobody saw me after Destiny’s Child. A lot of people were wondering what was going on with me, and I thought that it was fair to let them know exactly what I was going through, and to speak about my life in the group.”
LaTavia is a 2x GRAMMY Award-winner and 8x Billboard Award-winner better known as an original founding member of Destiny’s Child with hits such as Say My Name, Bills Bills Bills, Jumpin Jumpin and more with over 25 million copies sold worldwide!
LaTavia also shared with VICE’s i-D Magazine this week, “I went through a lot of traumatic things during the ten years where no one could see my face. So that’s why my book [and series] is so important, because people are going to ask — it’s in their nature.”
