U2 Cancels Concerts After Paris Tragedy
Due to the unfortunate events that struck Paris this past week, rock band U2 has cancelled concerts scheduled for the 14th and 15th of November in the area. One of the concerts was reportedly set to be taped for an upcoming HBO special. U2 released a statement from Paris, noting that they “watched in disbelief and shock” at the series of events that unfolded on November 13th.
After expressing condolences to the victims and their families, the band-members continued the sentiment with the following message: “We are devastated at the loss of life at the Eagles of Death Metal concert and our thoughts and prayers are with the band and their fans. And we hope and pray that all of our fans in Paris are safe.” However, U2, Live Nation, and HBO are “fully resolved to go ahead with the show at an appropriate time.”

This could be me at a show. You at a show, in that venue.” Hear the interview in its entirety below.
