Florida Got the Seventeen Experience and We’re Still Not Over It
Seventeen took over Sunrise, Florida, on Sunday night, and they started right at 7:30 pm EST on the dot. No delays, no waiting around, just straight-up excitement as fans cheered, waving their official Seventeen lightsticks and dressed to celebrate their favorite K-pop group. As someone who had never been to a K-pop concert before, this experience was completely different from anything I had imagined.
The stage came to life with their backdrop showcasing 3D visuals, and the camera focused on each member, while their team of backup dancers added another layer of energy and movement to the performance. They opened with “Bad Influence,” “HBD,” and my personal favorite, “THUNDER,” which came with their signature and eclectic choreography.
After kicking things off, the first message from the members set the tone for the night. “Did you miss us? I knew it was going to be fun from soundcheck, and I think today is going to be a very fun night,” they shared. Each member worked the crowd, and as the camera focused on each of them, the cheering got louder and louder.
Seventeen constantly engaged with fans throughout the night. They paused between songs to recap what they had just performed, checking in with fans, asking if they were having fun, and keeping the energy alive with every interaction. Between performances, visuals from music videos and storytelling moments transitioned the audience seamlessly from one song to the next.
The choreography was another standout element of the night. Every move was sharp, synchronized, and matched the personality of the members. Dino’s performance of “Trigger” with the backup dancers was especially memorable, combining precision and musicality in a way that made each beat feel alive.

Each member brought their own unique energy to the stage. Jun offered angelic vibes with smooth, graceful movements. Vernon delivered his “Shining Star” solo, radiating rockstar energy and changing the night’s mood. Seungkwan’s “Raindrops” solo, a powerful piano ballad, added a moment of emotion. The concert was a true journey through different genres, all sung in Korean and English, which showed just how versatile Seventeen is as a group.
Midway through the show, they paused to share how many more songs they had ready to perform. They thanked fans for coming dressed in Seventeen-themed costumes and added to the celebration by filling the venue with confetti in pink, blue, white, and every color in between throughout songs.
In addition to their solo moments. Mingyu’s “Shake It Off” set brought straight runway energy, with female dancers voguing and strutting across the stage. There is no playback with Seventeen; they are truly singing. Every formation, level change, and choreography gave fans an immersive experience.
Another memorable moment of the night was when the group sat on stage to reflect on the concert while fans cheered loudly. DK shared, “Today’s show is even better with you guys.” The fans of Seventeen are truly a dedicated army. Signs that made the members laugh and smile, banners reading “Your Voice Heals,” flags with their faces, and messages in Korean filled the arena with love and support.
Towards the end, the group performed “VERY NICE,” walking along the barricade and encouraging fans to sing along. The night concluded with the whole group sitting on stage, expressing their gratitude and thanking everyone who came out.
The concert lasted nearly three hours, filled with high energy, music, and an undeniable connection between Seventeen and their fans. My first K-pop concert was worth every second, and I cannot wait for them to return to sunny South Florida.
