Noah Cyrus Debuts Music Career with New Single, “Make Me Cry,” Featuring Labrinth
On Tuesday, November 15th, 2016, Miley’s 16-year-old sister, Noah Cyrus has dropped her debut single and she’s giving us all kinds of life. Earlier this year, Noah opened up about her music career with Paper Magazine about her eminent music career and there were even some rumors of a record deal.
“Make Me Cry” is a collaboration with English singer and producer, Labrinth. This heartfelt, sultry tune gives us a mix of Lana Del Rey and her older sister, Miley Cyrus. The track begins with a smooth, vulnerable tone then merges into Noah’s vocals. “The discordant noises throughout the song are like a reminder that love is unpredictable, and there’s a water sound effect that occurs at intervals that almost sounds like a massive teardrop hitting the floor.”
Noah and Labrinth took to Twitter to announce the song and share words of gratitude. Noah wrote, “So happy to finally share this. my new song #MakeMeCry feat. @Labrinth is out now!!!” Labrinth also tweeted, “So proud to have worked on this song with @noahcyrus… #MakeMeCry is out now.”
