The Mysterious Anime Character in Bad Bunny’s Song ‘Lo Siento BB:/’ Produced by Tainy
Bad Bunny is a global superstar adored by millions of fans worldwide and the love keeps coming because of how incredible his music is—having worked with many of music’s biggest names, including Jennifer Lopez, Drake, J Balvin, Dua Lipa and Daddy Yankee (to name a few).
Now, Bad Bunny is actually a fan of anime, so if you’ve listened to his music, you will find a few Japanese references and if you’re an anime fan, it won’t take you long to pinpoint them.
For example, his song ‘Yonaguni,’ which came out in 2021, was named after a real Japanese Island. In the music video of ‘Yonaguni,’ we see Bad Bunny speaking Japanese, sitting in a sushi restaurant and also playing Pokemon Go. He also featured himself as an anime character by the end of his song.
In October 2021, Bad Bunny released his single “Lo Siento BB:/” produced by NEON16’s Tainy and placed a pink-haired mysterious anime character on the song’s cover art. Now, if you’re a die-hard fan of anime, you’d know right away who that anime character is. There’s only one prevalent anime character with pink hair and pink eyes and it’s none other than Yuno Gasai.
Yuno Gasai (named after Juno, the ancient Roman goddess of love and marriage) appeared in The Future Diary and quickly gained popularity because of her character. For those of you who don’t know. The Future Diary, also known as Mirai Nikki, came out in 2011. This anime involves a lot of gore and gets disturbing.
The story revolves around high school student Yukiteru Amano who had his imaginary friends Deus Ex Machina and Murmur. The former was the god of time and space and the latter was that god’s servant. Because of how lonely Yukiteru was, he spent his days talking to his imaginary friends. However, his “imaginary” friends were not so imaginary when Deus Ex Machina appeared before him and granted him a “Diary.”
Yuno Gasai is obsessed with Yukiteru and stalks him constantly. She teams up with him to help him. However, she’s also a diary holder and hides something from his beloved Yukiteru. Eleven other people possess the same diaries, so Yukiteru must find the other diary holders and kill them as it will make him the god of time and space.
So, that was the premise of the story. I’m pretty sure most of you already knew who she was! And so, the mystery behind this anime character has been revealed.
