Dímelo Flow Talks ‘Always Dream’ EP, Life-Changing Car Accident, Working With Justin Quiles and More
From basketball dreams to number one records, Dímelo Flow’s story is one for the books. As a kid, he dreamt of playing in the NBA, but at sixteen years old a life-changing accident redirected his dreams. “I always loved music, but after my car accident I fell in love with being a DJ, a producer,” said Dímelo Flow. Despite his passions taking an unexpected turn, he believes music was always meant to be his ultimate purpose. “I thank God everything happened the way it happened,” he said.
His hard work and dedication have led him to collaborations with top artists such as Arcangel, Daddy Yankee, and more. “Artists trust me because of my personality. I keep it real with them, I don’t sugar coat anything,” he said. Because of his honesty, Dímelo Flow has been able to gain the respect of his peers and excel in his career.
His upcoming project “Always Dream” is an album with 28 tracks (including an intro) and features over fifteen artists. Some of those artists include Ozuna, Anitta, and J. Balvin. “Dreaming is very important to me, that’s why I choose this title. I dreamt of this album at the beginning of my career,” said Dímelo Flow. He assures us that fans can expect a nostalgic feel of old-school reggaeton since that’s what he grew up listening to. “I wanted to bring that type of flow back to reggaeton… I don’t think there’s another album like this one,” he said.
Aside from working on his album for over a year, Dímelo Flow has also been working on a documentary. “This is a way to get to know me better- aside from just my music,” he said. The documentary is set to show personal moments such as his upbringing, car accident details, and his music career. “People always ask me how did I get here… well I’m going to show you how I got here,” said Dímelo Flow.
Although the documentary does not have an official release date, his album “Always Dreams” will be available on all streaming platforms on June 9th!
