Singer Aaron Carter Passed Away At Age 34

Singer and producer Aaron Carter has passed away at age 34.

The multi-platinum recording artist was found this morning, Saturday, November 5, 2022, in his Lancaster, CA home. Law enforcement received a 911 call at 11 AM local time about the incident. Homicide responded to the scene and found no evidence of foul play.

According to reports, the cause of death was drowning while in his bathtub. Aaron was working toward regaining custody of his 11-month-old son, Prince. Aaron has survived more than 100 seizures due to his battle with substance abuse and spent more than $200,000 on care.

During his career, Aaron sold more than 15 million copies and garnered hundreds of millions of streams globally. His career began when his brother Nick Carter of The Backstreet Boys brought out then-9-year-old Aaron Carter on stage to sign a song by Jackson 5. That was the moment that would change his life forever.

In 2000, Aaron penned a record deal with Jive Records, home to iconic artists including Aaliyah, Justin Timberlake, Ciara, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Brown, and many more, including The Backstreet Boys. Aaron would then release his debut album “Aaron Party (Come Get It), which would sell more than 3 million copies, earning Aaron a 3x Platinum RIAA certification. In 2016, Aaron released visuals for his DJ persona “Kid Carter,” with his single “Curious.” One year later, he released his self-produced EP “LØVË.”

Aaron’s music will continue to play a role in what defined a major part of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Rest in peace, Aaron Carter.
